THIS WE BELIEVE / STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe in one God who is manifested in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; called the Trinity. Matthew 28:19

We believe that God is the Father of Jesus Christ and creator of everything. We believe that He loved the world He created and sent His only Son to be our Saviour and restorer. Therefore, whoever believes in Him will not perish in eternal separation from God, but will have everlasting life. John 3:16

We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, the shedding of His blood, and His resurrection are all sufficient to make atonement for the sin of the world – an atonement available to all who repent of their sin and believe in Him alone for forgiveness and salvation. Acts 2:38, Hebrews 9:22

We believe that God the Holy Spirit quickens us from death to life, indwells all those who receive Jesus Christ by faith as Lord and Saviour, and continuously transforms believers into the image of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:18, Romans 8:9-10

We believe that salvation from death, forgiveness of sin, and eternal life are free gifts courtesy of God’s grace. These gifts cannot be earned, deserved, inherited, or bought. They are not of works that any man should boast. They are gifts from God. Ephesians 2:8-10

We believe that God the Son is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Saviour sent by God, Israel’s Messiah, born of a virgin, fully man and fully God. Matthew 1:18-25

We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and the third day His body rose from the dead guaranteeing the bodily resurrection of all those who have received eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus. John 20:1-end

We believe only those who believe in Jesus Christ and receive Him into their hearts by the Holy Spirit, will be delivered from eternal judgement. They will receive everlasting life and be reconciled to God the Father as His children. Romans 1:16-17

We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth to reign in righteousness and justice, as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Acts 1:9-11, Rev. 17:14, 19:1-16

We believe that the true church is not an organization but an organism that operates within an organization. The church is the body of Christ made up of those who have personally trusted Jesus Christ as Saviour, publicly confessed Him as Lord of their lives, and remember Him through Holy Communion. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

We believe that the Bible is the word of God, inspired by the Spirit of God, without error and thus the supreme and final authority for faith, and a godly life. 2 Timothy 3:16

We believe that reading the Bible daily and praying always, are necessary for the sustenance of spiritual life and development, as food and water are necessary for the sustenance of physical life. Matthew 4:4, 2 Timothy 2:15, 1 Thess. 5: 17

We believe that all believers are commanded to be witnesses for Christ, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His righteousness, and the teaching of His kingdom to the whole world. Matthew 28:18-19, Acts 1:8
